AUGUST 15, 2020
With others helping out, things started progressing quickly. We used structure blocks so that features such as the black dots could be easily "pasted" into the world. LikLikSnek built the platforms she had designed for around the "Light of a Thousand Souls" in the Heart of the Memorial. Others worked on laying out country names and flags, placing dots and checking the terrain for things that needed tweaking. For example, there were many trees that overhung the country maps that needed to be trimmed or removed.
We added buttons in the workshop hallway so people could get the invisible item frames and structure blocks they would need.

Amaris3004 came up with a design for the dots on the country maps that was more visually interesting. It used blue lanterns underneath the dots to give a soft lighting effect at night.
A copy of the "Light of 1000 Souls" map is included in each dot under a glass block.

Many countries had less than 1000 lives lost, which were not bein represented. We came up with idea of using a gray dot to represent less than 1000 lives lost.
LikLikSnek finished the basic structure of
the platforms and bridges she designed.
They look so amazing above the central waterfall!

The larger corner platforms would house spawn, displays, and a map of the whole memorial.
The bridges between the platforms have displays for each country which include
a button to TP to the plot for that country.

Realms limits render distance to 10 chunks, so downloaded a backup so I could get better screenshots in a single player world.
